STEP 1: DISCOVERY

Step one begins with a conversation at McLemore. While we show you the property, we will learn what you are looking for in a home. In preparation for this conversation, please consider the following questions:

» What is your investment level? Is this your primary residence or secondary residence? Is this an investment property, or do you want it to be part of our Stay & Play program?

» What is your lifestyle? Do you like to entertain? Or is your new home a quiet sanctuary?

Is it meant for a small family or a large family? Do you enjoy cooking? Do you collect wine? Are you an audiophile? Do you work remotely?

» How many bedrooms and bathrooms would you like? Do you want a basement? A wine cellar? A theater?

» Do you want to live along the golf course, or do you prefer a secluded location?

» We provide you with a packet of all key documents for living at McLemore and provide you with details on the cost of ownership.

STEP 2: SELECTION

During our initial meeting, we learned about your plans for living at McLemore. During our next step, we will share home plans and give you a tour of home sites that reflect your interests. We then refine your selections to match your needs and lifestyle. After learning more about you, we provide suggestions for suitable home sites and plans. The goal is to narrow down your options and choose a site and plan that fit your budget and match your lifestyle. Next, we fit the home plan and the home site. The product of this step is called the Personalized Floorplan (PFP). Here, we personalize your floor plan and elevation preferences, then provide them to our Community Designer for review and approval, in accordance with McLemore’s Architectural Guidelines. The plans are then presented to AR Homes for final review and approval. Occasionally, Personalized Floorplans may require modification to meet the standards of McLemore and AR Homes. Once your Personalized Floorplan is approved, we review it with you. Once approved, you will sign a contingent home site purchase agreement.

  1. First Selections: The Buyer and ARHomes coordinate the home site and floorplan selections.

  2. Home Site Fit: The Builder and ARHomes conduct an initial site fit for the home.

  3. The PFP: The Personalized Floorplan Process (PFP) begins with consideration of elevations (This typically takes 4 weeks for the initial floorplan design, plus 2-3 weeks per revision.)

  4. Buyer Input: The Buyer provides input, following which, the...

    • The builder makes the initial request for approval from the Community Designer

    • The Community Designer reviews and comments on exterior implications

    • The Builder and ARHomes review comments from the Community Designer

    • The Builder and ARHomes present the approved or revised request to the Buyer.

  5. Approvals: Once approved, the Contingent Home Site Purchase Agreement is signed.

STEP 3: FORMALIZE

Once you provide input and inspiration for your design, your AR Homes / Builder team reviews your plans with McLemore’s Community Designer, who provides comments and modifications. AR Homes and McLemore’s Architectural Review Committee review and comment on the front elevation of your home plan. Modifications are reviewed with the Community Designer who provides feedback to AR Homes and your builder. Once the design is finalized, your builder and AR Homes representative will meet with you to present and review the design for your approval.
